We are currently looking for a new Family Pastor. We are seeking a man with a shepherd's heart and the ability to oversee and participate in our children's and youth ministries, while also serving in other areas as needed. We're looking from someone who can foster a path of discipleship from birth that eventually feeds out of high school and into the adult areas of our church in a healthy way.

- Adherence to the scriptural qualifications of an elder as outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9.
- Alignment with the CrossPoint Church vision and Statement of Beliefs.
- Willing to function (if applicable, with his spouse and family) as member(s) of CrossPoint Church.
- Adherence to the CrossPoint employee handbook.
- Willingness and ability to work under the oversight of the elders and senior pastor.
- Willingness and ability to work alongside church staff members, ministry leaders and volunteers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Family Pastor
Personal Responsibilities
- Continue to pursue a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Make time for rest and self-care.
- Care for your spouse and children in a godly way.
Overall Ministry Responsibilities (10%)
- Oversee the spiritual health of families within the church.
- Coordinate programming to foster a cohesive path for families to grow together with the overall vision of CrossPoint.
Children’s Ministry Responsibilities (30%)
- Oversee our current children's ministry and nursery (Sunday morning)
- Establish and lead change for a ministry path that aligns with our vision and works with the gifting and influence of the new pastor.
- Recruit, train, and support volunteers as needed for the new path.
Youth Ministry Responsibilities (40%)
- Oversee our current youth ministry (Sunday morning and Thursday night)
- Establish and lead change for a ministry path that aligns with our vision and works with the gifting and influence of the new pastor.
- Recruit, train, and support volunteers as needed for the new path.
Other Responsibilities (20%)
- Support the Senior Pastor as needed, particularly on Sunday mornings when he is away.
- Attend a weekly staff meeting.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Theological/Biblical Studies or a related ministerial field.
- Minimum of 2 years in vocational or pastoral ministry is preferred.
Compensation
Financial compensation with housing, salary (totaling $50,000-$55,000) plus retirement, disability insurance, and healthcare will all be included. The total annual amount will land between $65,000-$70,000, depending on education and prior experience. The family pastor will also receive a budget for pastoral expenses, mileage reimbursement, and a Costco membership.
