Strength in Numbers

This Sunday, I was supposed to be preaching on desiring Godโ€™s right ways. Instead, Iโ€™m not preaching about anything - at least from the pulpit.

I received a lot of help this week because I was at the hospital everyday. Fortunately, I serve a wonderful church family who had my back at every step. Our elders, staff, and leaders have been amazing. The people who visited my dad and gave counsel have been incredible. There have been so many text messages, emails and phone calls that I can hardly even track it.

What a gift the church is to the believer! To have people walking out their faith alongside you is such a blessing. The bible tells us in 1 Peter 4:10, โ€œAs each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace...โ€ I have been the beneficiary of the gifts of so many others this week, I donโ€™t even know what to do with myself!

Because of this, Lent has been a season of challenges and blessings for me. In light of this, Iโ€™d ask you to consider your own challenges and blessings. How has God used this season to push you into new areas? How has God revealed that He is your source of all things? How has God encouraged you?

In Christ,

PD
